Wagner Tuning Competition Front Water Cooler for VW T6 & T6.1 2.0 TDI / BiTDI – 30% more cooling volume

Maximum performance and optimal cooling for your VW bus! The Wagner Tuning Competition water cooler kit is the essential upgrade for optimizing the performance of the 2.0 TDI & BiTDI engines in the VW T6 and T6.1. The significant 30% increase in volume in the low-temperature circuit drastically reduces the coolant temperature and ensures thermal stability for your transporter or camper.

Why this front water cooler is a must-have for your VW T6/T6.1:

Massive volume expansion: The Competition racing mesh increases the cooler volume of the standard water cooler by an impressive +30% (12.4 liters vs. OEM 9.5 liters).
Direct performance increase: Effectively lowers the coolant temperature in the indirect intercooler circuit. This improves intercooler cooling and stabilizes system thermodynamics, especially when fully loaded or with increased performance.
Maximum heat transfer: The optimized ratio between internal and external cooling surface ensures maximum heat transfer while maintaining sufficient airflow for adjacent components.
Durability & protection: The radiator is coated in black and equipped with a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating that ensures a lasting cooling effect.
Plug & play installation: Installation is straightforward and virtually plug & play thanks to detailed installation instructions.

Technical detail: Cooling circuit optimization for the 2.0 TDI/BiTDI engine
The 2.0-liter TDI and BiTDI engine in the VW T6 / T6.1 is equipped with an indirect intercooler circuit. In this system, the charge air is cooled not by ambient air, but by a separate cooling water circuit. Lowering the coolant temperature is therefore the most effective way to improve the cooling performance of the charge air and maintain engine performance under load.
The Wagner Tuning upgrade water cooler solves this bottleneck with a 30% increase in volume and a 26% increase in cooling surface area. The increased cooling water volume keeps the system temperature at a lower level for a longer period of time – a critical advantage, especially for the powerful BiTDI (199-204 hp) models.

Technical data in direct comparison (OEM vs. Wagner Tuning front cooler)
The Wagner Tuning front water cooler offers decisive advantages over the standard part:
Volume (V): From OEM 9.5 L to 12.4 L (increase of +30%).
Area (A): From OEM 1750 cm² to 2208 cm² (increase of +26%).
Dimensions (depth): Slightly increased from 54 mm to 56 mm.
Coating: Black-coated radiator.

Vehicle compatibility (VW T6 / T6.1)
