Advanced Engine-Specific Optimization Technology

RaceChip RS combines modern automotive hardware with sophisticated performance optimization software developed for individual engine applications. Rather than relying on a generic tuning configuration, RS uses engine-specific adjustments to optimize relevant sensor signals and improve the engine’s power delivery. This approach allows the tuning module to work alongside the vehicle’s original engine management system while retaining factory engine protection functions. The result is a performance upgrade designed to deliver additional power and torque without sacrificing the smooth operation required for everyday driving.

6 Fine-Tuning Mappings for Personalized Performance

The RaceChip RS features 6 adjustable fine-tuning mappings, providing flexibility to adapt the tuning characteristics to the vehicle’s engine and individual driving preferences. Each RS module is supplied with a vehicle-specific base mapping. Additional fine-tuning can be performed using the rotary control located on the front of the module. The six adjustment levels allow drivers to gradually modify the tuning response and select a configuration suitable for their engine’s characteristics. This adjustment system makes RaceChip RS an excellent choice for drivers who want greater control over their vehicle’s performance without complicated software modifications or specialist equipment.

Optional RaceChip App Control

RaceChip RS supports optional smartphone App Control, allowing drivers to select between three professionally calibrated tuning modes directly from a compatible mobile device.

• Efficiency Mode: Designed for smoother everyday driving and potentially more economical fuel consumption.
• Sport Mode: Provides stronger acceleration and more dynamic engine response for spirited driving.
• Race Mode: Delivers the most performance-oriented tuning configuration for maximum driving enjoyment.

The RaceChip application also provides access to additional functions, including:

• Returning to the original factory tuning configuration
• Support-assisted fine-tuning
• Automatic software updates
• Control of compatible RaceChip XLR throttle tuning systems
• Expanded service and configuration functions

Important: RaceChip App Control is an optional feature available at an additional cost of €59. It is not included unless selected with the product. Available functions may vary depending on the vehicle and configuration.

Improved Acceleration and Driving Dynamics

By increasing available engine horsepower and torque, RaceChip RS helps improve the acceleration and pulling power of your BMW 7 Series (G11, G12). Additional torque can make everyday driving more flexible, particularly when accelerating from lower engine speeds, overtaking other vehicles or joining motorway traffic. The optimized engine response also contributes to a more engaging driving experience on winding roads and during dynamic acceleration. RaceChip RS is designed to provide performance improvements while preserving the vehicle’s everyday usability and the familiar characteristics of its original engine management system.

Plug & Drive Installation of RaceChip RS for BMW 7 Series (G11, G12) 740i 2014-2022

RaceChip RS follows the manufacturer’s convenient Plug & Drive installation concept. The tuning module connects to the relevant engine sensors using the supplied vehicle-specific wiring harness. Unlike traditional ECU remapping, this installation does not require permanent modification of the original engine control software. Installation can often be completed within a short period using the included vehicle-specific instructions. RaceChip technical support is also available to assist with installation-related questions. The included stock plug allows the original tuning configuration to be restored when the performance module is disconnected according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Installation time and complexity depend on the vehicle and accessibility of the required engine connections.

Engine Safety and 1-Year Warranty

RaceChip develops its tuning solutions with consideration for the operating characteristics and existing performance capabilities of each supported engine. The RaceChip RS uses engine-specific calibration to provide increased performance while working alongside the vehicle’s original engine management and protection systems. The product is offered with a 1-year engine warranty providing coverage of up to €3,000, subject to the manufacturer’s eligibility requirements, warranty conditions and applicable regional restrictions. RaceChip also provides lifetime software updates, helping ensure continued software support for the tuning module throughout its supported service life.
