RaceChip RX for Citroen SpaceTourer E-SPACETOURER 2016-

RaceChip RX for Citroen SpaceTourer E-SPACETOURER 2016-

RaceChip RX for Citroen SpaceTourer E-SPACETOURER 2016- is an innovative range extender and accelerator response optimization system developed specifically for electric vehicles. Designed to improve driving efficiency, accelerator responsiveness and everyday comfort, RaceChip RX provides a new level of control over the driving characteristics of your electric vehicle. Unlike conventional chip tuning modules that increase engine horsepower and torque, RX focuses on optimizing accelerator pedal signals and energy management. Through specially developed response characteristics, the system can help reduce energy consumption and extend the driving range of compatible electric vehicles by up to 10%, depending on driving conditions. With three selectable driving modes, smartphone App Control, an integrated memory function and straightforward Plug & Play installation, RX combines driving enjoyment with practical everyday efficiency.

RaceChip RX – Up to 10% More Electric Driving Range

One of the key advantages of RaceChip RX is its ability to help improve the driving efficiency of compatible electric vehicles. By adjusting the accelerator pedal response and optimizing the relationship between pedal input and requested motor torque, the system encourages more efficient energy use during everyday driving. In Eco mode, RX is designed to support smoother acceleration and improved energy recovery characteristics, potentially allowing the vehicle to travel further using the same available battery capacity.

• Potential Range Increase: Up to 10%
• Energy Efficiency: Optimized accelerator response and energy recovery behavior
• Charging Convenience: Potentially fewer charging stops
• Driving Comfort: More predictable accelerator response
• Driving Flexibility: Three selectable operating modes

The actual range improvement depends on driving style, vehicle configuration, road conditions, temperature, battery condition and other operating factors. A 10% increase is a potential maximum rather than a guaranteed result.

3 Individual Driving Modes – Sport, Comfort and Eco

RaceChip RX offers three selectable driving modes, allowing drivers to customize accelerator behavior according to their preferences and driving conditions. Sport Mode – Enhanced Accelerator Responsiveness. Sport mode is designed for drivers who prefer a more dynamic and responsive driving experience. Comfort Mode – Smooth and Balanced Driving. Comfort mode provides a balanced accelerator response designed for relaxed everyday driving. Eco Mode – Improved Efficiency and Driving Range. Eco mode focuses on efficient accelerator operation and optimized energy recovery characteristics.

How Does RaceChip RX for Citroen SpaceTourer E-SPACETOURER 2016- Work?

RaceChip RX is installed between the vehicle’s accelerator pedal sensor and the electronic control system using a vehicle-specific connection. The module processes the accelerator pedal signals and modifies their characteristics using specially developed response curves. This changes how the vehicle interprets accelerator pedal input, allowing the driver to select between more responsive, balanced or efficiency-oriented driving characteristics. In Eco mode, the adjusted pedal characteristics can support smoother motor torque requests and influence energy recovery behavior during accelerator release, depending on the vehicle’s existing regenerative braking system. RaceChip RX does not increase the battery’s physical capacity or the electric motor’s maximum rated power. Instead, it focuses on making better use of the vehicle’s existing driving and energy recovery capabilities.

Improved Accelerator Response

RaceChip RX is designed to make the accelerator pedal feel more responsive and adaptable to different driving situations. In Sport mode, accelerator inputs are translated into a more dynamic response, creating a more engaging driving experience. Comfort mode provides smoother and more progressive control, while Eco mode prioritizes efficient pedal behavior and reduced energy demand. By allowing the driver to select the preferred response characteristics, RX provides additional flexibility without requiring modifications to the electric motor or battery system.

RaceChip+ App Control

RaceChip RX includes smartphone control through the RaceChip+ App, allowing drivers to manage the system and select their preferred driving mode. The application provides access to Sport, Comfort and Eco modes, making it convenient to adjust the vehicle’s accelerator characteristics for different driving situations. The integrated memory function remembers the last selected driving mode, allowing the system to retain the driver’s preferred configuration. App availability and compatibility depend on the supported smartphone operating system and RaceChip product configuration.

Optional Physical Controller

For drivers who prefer a dedicated control interface, RX also supports an optional physical controller. The controller provides an alternative way to manage the available driving modes without relying exclusively on the smartphone application. Important: The physical controller is an optional accessory available for an additional charge of €50 and is not included unless specifically selected.

RaceChip Safety System (RSS)

RaceChip incorporates the RaceChip Safety System (RSS), developed to support safe and reliable operation of the accelerator response optimization system. The system is designed to work with the vehicle’s existing electronic controls while providing the selected accelerator response characteristics. RX does not replace the original vehicle control systems or modify the electric motor’s maximum rated output.

Easy Plug & Play Installation of RaceChip RX for Citroen SpaceTourer E-SPACETOURER 2016-

RaceChip RX uses a convenient Plug & Play installation concept, allowing the module to be connected to the vehicle’s accelerator pedal wiring without permanent modifications to the original control unit software. The installation process generally involves the following steps:

1. Disconnect the original connector from the accelerator pedal sensor.
2. Connect the RaceChip RX Brainbox using the compatible vehicle-specific connections.
3. Secure the Brainbox to a suitable smooth surface in the footwell.
4. Configure the RaceChip+ App and connect it to the RX module.
5. Select the preferred driving mode and verify correct operation according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Installation time and accessibility vary depending on the vehicle. Always follow the supplied vehicle-specific instructions and manufacturer safety precautions.
