Technical detail: Cooling circuit optimization for the M 133 turbo engine
The 2.0L M 133 turbo engine in models such as the AMG A 45 (W176) uses an indirect intercooler circuit, which employs a separate cooling water circuit to cool the charge air. Lowering the coolant temperature is the key to increasing performance. The Wagner Tuning front water cooler solves this bottleneck: the 79% increase in volume (7.14 liters vs. OEM 3.99 liters) massively increases the coolant volume and cooling capacity, which ensures thermal stability over a longer period of time and sustainably improves performance and reliability.

Technical data in direct comparison (OEM vs. Wagner Tuning front cooler)
The Wagner Tuning front water cooler offers decisive advantages over the standard cooler:
Volume: With 7.14 liters, the Wagner Tuning cooler offers 79% more volume compared to the OEM cooler with 3.99 liters.
Dimensions (depth): At 32 mm deep, the Wagner Tuning radiator is twice as thick as the standard radiator at 16 mm.
Radiator core: A high-performance competition racing intercooler core is used.

Dimensions of OEM front radiator:
640 mm x 390 mm x 16 mm
V = 3.99 liters
A = 2496 cm²

Dimensions of Wagner Tuning front radiator:
616 mm x 362 mm x 32 mm
V = 7.14 liters
A = 2230 cm²

Vehicle compatibility (AMG M 133)
The Wagner Tuning Competition front water cooler is plug-and-play compatible with the following models with the M 133 engine (265-280 kW / 360-381 hp):
